AAD Connect Deletion Threshold

Overview

Amend AAD Connect Deletion Threshold is an option most sysadmins will require to amend at some point in time. Day to day activities don’t usually require this to be amended as most OUs are static and only the odd change happens via the AAD Connect delta syncs. However, when carrying out projects or major company divestment or legacy data removal of large amount of records AAD Connect has a built in feature to prevent mass deletion of the companies AAD objects. If you have carried or planning on carrying out a large amount of object amendment you will typically see the alert in AAD Connect Synchronization Service Console saying Stopped-Deletion-Threshold-Exceeded as per the below image.
